It&#8217;s also gotta look good.<\/p>\n<p>For ocean buoy hunting, the best choice is a kayak (preferably a sit-on-top style, which allows quick boarding from a beach). It needs enough deck or hatch space to carry the buoys you&#8217;re likely to find, so the better you are, the bigger your kayak should\u00a0be.<\/p>\n<p>For lakes or rivers, an aluminum-hulled boat works well.
